A good idea often comes from several sources. Ronny had decided to follow a vision of a digitized route for Norwegian salmon. From Norwegian farmers to buyers across the 7 seas. He contacted Lars, who best sees the supply chain from the customer’s point of view. He had already embarked on a digital journey for Norwegian salmon – and they decided to merge. Yogi – from the Seafood Council – with it one foot in the foreign seafood market and another in a large-scale trading with aluminum worldwide joined the team.
Norwegian overseas salmon exports are the world’s largest non-military air freight operation. The common denominator for the Seafood7 team is the commitment to turn every stone in the pursuit of the idea of simplifying salmon sales. Hence the philosophy of doing it in 1 – 2 – 3.
We want to make everyday life easier for producers and importers of Norwegian salmon.
Wants to simplify and rationalize
Ronny grew up above his grandfather’s seafood smokehouse – in Bergen on the west coast of Norway. Today he is based in the capital Oslo, where he has worked for many years in institutions such as Mc Kinsey & co, Handelsbanken and Telenor. His interest in fish and farming has always been there, and he gradually became convinced that the world – especially outside Europe – is not supplied with Norwegian salmon and seafood in a good enough way. The Norwegian salmon will in a simple, safe and fast way come from the Norwegian farmers to buyers all over the world – via 3 keystrokes.
As the founder of Seafood7, Ronny is dedicated to building the first foreign supply chain with Norwegian salmon, which reaps the benefits of modern technology.
Bridge builder in the seafood industry
Yogi was born in India, but grew up in Norway. He is an economist with a Master of Science in International Banking & Finance, and has extensive experience in international trading, sales, purchasing and marketing in oil, equities, aluminum and paint. Yogi has been the country manager in India for the Norwegian Seafood Council to promote Norwegian seafood.
As commercial director, Yogi will use his broad network and ability to build relationships, to build a bridge between the seller and buyers of salmon – across the 7 seas.
Will digitize the value chain
Lars has worked with Norwegian seafood, both on the sales side and in safeguarding the interests of Norwegian seafood as a specialist manager in the Seafood Companies. Lars has a bachelor’s degree in international marketing and worked with both insurance and food before he became involved in the seafood industry. In addition to Seafood7, he works with blockchain solutions for the seafood industry, in the company Arcticfox Technologies.
Through Seafood7, Lars will work with our vision of making the overseas sale of Norwegian seafood to the whole world – fast, tidy and digital.
